Changing page names in Analytics

The current version of the Particeep Plug solution does not allow to change the title of each page directly in the builder. With the parameters proposed in our first tutorials, the data brought up in Analytics (GA4 and UA) each step of the subscription path has a name identical to the others.

Changing page names in Analytics

1
Go to your interface Tag Manager, on the "  Tags ". For this first example, we will modify step one of our course.
2
Create a new tag. Depending on your version of Analytics, take a Universal Analytics or Google Analytics 4 tag.
  • If you are on Universal Analytics, make sure you have checked "Allow overriding of settings in this tag", then go to "More settings" and "Fields to be defined".
  • If you are on Google Analytics 4, you can go directly to the "Fields to be defined" tab.
3
Add a new field. The name of this should be "  title " for Universal Analytics. If you are using Google Analytics 4, name it " page_title"
4
In the "Value" part, you can integrate the desired structure, it is this field that will be brought up in your Analytics reports.

Next, add the necessary triggers depending on the version of Google Analytics you are using.

1
Go to the "change history" or "page view" setting, depending on the Analytics version you are using.
2
Add a condition for the activation of this trigger. We need the "Page URL" to be set to "Contains" and include the desired step, so step1 in our case.

As a reminder, take the last characters of the URL before "/step1" if you have multiple subscription paths powered by Particeep Plug on your site.

3
You can now record and publish live, step 1 of your course will send as the page view title the name you specified.

Warning

As a reminder, take the last characters of the URL before "/step1" if you have multiple subscription paths powered by Particeep Plug on your site.
